Woodies old boy Paul Briggs is up against it and needs our help. He's been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease a wretched and life limiting disease

The Briggs family have been around Eastwood rugby for decades. Paul is the eldest of 5,

married to Susanne and has 3 kids - Jacob, Mitchell and Gabriella

Paul was diagnosed just before Christmas 2024, and MND is already affecting his speech and swallowing muscles. His condition will only worsen, requiring extensive assistive devices and considerable medical expenses. He can no longer work, and is unable to drive.

• Colts and grade player with Eastwood - Colts 1977-78 and Grade 1979 - 85.

• Head Trainer 1983 Reserve Grade (Woodies beat a star studded Randwick team who had 9 NSW rep players. Eastwood won 26-12)

• Woodies Head Conditioner 2000/2001/2002 & preseason 2003

• Numerous Eastwood junior rep teams for the State Cup
